Argon is widely used in industrial production. Its content in the atmosphere is relatively low and it is generally obtained through deep cooling separation. During its application, liquid argon products are first stored in low-temperature storage tanks, and then pressurized by a liquid pump or self-boosting to be vaporized for use. Due to heat exchange between the low-temperature storage tank and the environment, some argon leaks, resulting in a certain amount of loss. To recover this leaked argon, an argon recovery device was developed. It liquefies the vaporized argon in the storage tank using a liquid nitrogen cold source and then returns it to the storage tank, achieving the goal of maximizing the utilization rate of argon and generating significant economic benefits.
The argon recovery unit is one of the important equipment for large-scale air separation plants. It uses the liquid nitrogen within the device to condense and liquefy the argon gas that has been vaporized from the storage tank, and then returns it to the storage tank. The carrier of this unit is an aluminum plate-fin heat exchanger unit.

The composition structure of the argon recovery unit consists of a shell, a partition plate and a plate-type unit. The shell serves to provide the space for the evaporation or condensation of the medium. It is divided into two chambers. The upper head and the cylinder, the plate passage and the lower head and the cylinder form a working space, which is the cavity for argon liquefaction; the outer wall of the plate, the upper and lower partitions and the middle cylinder form another working space, which is the cavity for nitrogen liquefaction. The function of the partition plate is to support the plate-type unit and divide the shell into two sealed chambers. The plate-type unit is the carrier for argon liquefaction and nitrogen liquefaction.
