The pure oxygen manufacturing plant leverages the Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) mechanism, with zeolite molecular sieves as the key adsorbent. These sieves feature a porous structure with precisely sized channels, exhibiting a selective affinity for nitrogen molecules-their polarity and molecular dimensions align with the sieve's pores, causing nitrogen to be heavily adsorbed under pressure. In contrast, oxygen remains in the gas phase, achieving nitrogen-oxygen separation through this pressure-driven selectivity.

To enable continuous production, the system adopts a dual-tower or multi-tower architecture, operating in a synchronized cycle:

• Adsorption Stage: One tower is pressurized, where zeolite sieves capture nitrogen, enriching oxygen in the gas stream.

• Regeneration Stage: Simultaneously, another tower undergoes depressurization, allowing desorption of the adsorbed nitrogen (restoring the sieve's adsorption capacity).

This cyclic process is controlled by Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), which automate pneumatic valve operations. The PLCs continuously monitor parameters like gas purity, flow rate, and pressure differentials, dynamically adjusting cycle timing and tower switching to optimize efficiency. This intelligent control ensures seamless alternation between towers, maintaining a steady output of high-quality oxygen without interruptions.

In essence, the synergy of PSA technology, selective zeolite adsorption, multi-tower cyclic design, and PLC-driven automation allows the plant to efficiently extract oxygen from air, delivering a reliable supply for industrial, environmental, and energy applications.
