Liquid Oxygen Nitrogen Producing Line
The fundamental principle is that air is liquefied, and separation is achieved because oxygen, nitrogen (and argon) have different boiling points. The cold energy required for air liquefaction is obtained by first using a compressor to pressurize the air, and then an expander to expand the gas, which generates most of the cooling capacity for the air separation unit;
the rest of the cold energy is provided by the reflux gas in the fractionating tower. Air separation occurs in the rectification column, where rising gas and descending liquid transfer heat and mass on trays or packings; the nitrogen content in the rising gas becomes higher, and the oxygen content in the descending liquid increases accordingly.
